Why I used these references
Throughout this journal I made references to ‘our culture’. I was born in 1970, grown up as an observer, making culture references is meant to teach, explain my point more clearly. This book is not for entertainment purposes.
Fair Use Copyright
With this journal written, started looking into learning another skill, building my own website for my writing’s. The steps towards building my own website, led to ‘Copyright Laws’. Using song lyrics for a book is highly discouraged unless it has a purpose of teaching.
Copyright Laws seek to encourage scholarship, research, education, and commentary. The journal is for educational & scientific.
Amount of copyright used. I used the minimum amount possible to explain my topic or point.
Effect of the use on the potential market, does it hurt the market for the original work. My work will bring the spotlight onto them, which will be beneficial to them. The Blaine Larson song about suicide, this will encourage more traffic and higher sales. Basically, I am giving them free advertising. I encourage everyone to find these songs, and TV Episodes to watch and listen.

The 1st TV/Movie to talk about CTE. I have an educational purpose, scientific study of the condition I am plagued with. Hopes my experiences with multiple concussions, post-concussion syndrome… Hopes to contribute to, when this is mostly not understood at this time.
The West Wing ‘Take This Sabbath Day’
You remind me of the man that lived by the river, scene.
This is to point out my readers, you are all that man, I am the all three, the radio report, man in a boat, and rescue helicopter. This journal is heavy with ‘God’s words. The scene points out that I am only ‘God’s Messenger’. Are you Listening?
Blaine Larson and his song ‘How do you get that lonely’.
I had never heard of Blain before beginning this journal. The tone of his sing is, he’s does not understand how a young man can commit suicide, for no apparent reason. It’s a dilemma most of the world’s population shares, not understanding depression suicide. This song lyrics are important to the chapter on my own experiences with bi-polar depression and a lifetime being suicidal. Four years living in Plano Texas during the city’s teen suicide epidemic. No one understands my severe depression. The purpose is to save lives…went on to teach about my depression.
I think Blaine will appreciate my using a few of his lyrics, to save a life, hopefully many lives. I am using his words, to help him prevent suicides.
Kid Rock ‘Only God Knows Why’
Another song I had never heard of until writing this journal. His song was about, he is rich and famous, everyone knows his name, yet he can’t find love or happiness. We don’t understand our path, only God knows.
The purpose of the culture references, this book is about teaching. Using culture gives a better understanding to ‘how my brain works’. From the beginning this journal is unique, not like anything written before. This journal has been a guided tour thru my mind, making sure the casual reader understands everything they are reading. I can not discuss my life without talking about the culture side, shows my influences, the examples show a deeper understanding to how my brain works.
A man educated in psychology man, writes a book about what’s inside his brain, with incredible insights. The psychology world will pick a part and study this journal, for several different reasons.
I am a natural teacher, people from around the world will read this, and learn from me. That sounds like I am paying it forward, teaching others, helping others to understand their own brain.
