Chapter 1 –is a comprehensive list and definition’s of the medical terminology related to brain trauma, taken from the leading researcher’s in the field. While writing chapter 2 and using terminology that required explanation, decided to write chapter 1, giving everyone a quick education before reading chapter 2.
Chapter 2 – a very detailed look into ‘my own Life living with post-concussion syndrome’. I had 100’s of sub-concussions and 2 major concussions, latest scrambled by brain and put me on disability. This happened Sept 11th 2008.
Chapter 3 – ‘Unheard Voices’ is deep look into the real life of some of the athletes’ who’s death were in the news. Five players briefly discussed in the Will Smith movie ‘Concussion’, about Dr. Bennet Omalu discovering CTE. The movie focused mostly on Dr. Bennet Omalu. The players story deserved more explanation. This chapter also discusses some other players lost to CTE. They wanted their brains examined. I have had a front row seat watching CTE make the news while recovering from same.
Chapter 4 -‘Brain Physical Therapy’ The life I had ended Sept 11th 2008, spent the last 15 years climbing the hardest mountain of my life, trying to get part of a life back. I call it ‘Brain Physical Therapy’. From a brain scrambling concussion that left me in heavy brain fog, retired/disabled, to earning a degree in accounting with honors.
